Rice Pudding
This is a dessert that is simple to make!
Prep Time: 2 Minutes. Cook Time: approx. 40 Minutes.


3 cups milk
1/3 cup long grain rice (I use Jasmine rice)
1/3 cup raisins (optional)
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Directions
In a heavy medium saucepan bring milk to a boil. Stir in uncooked rice and raisins. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30-40 minutes or until most of the milk is absorbed. (mixture may appear curdled) Stir in sugar and vanilla. Spoon into dessert dishes and sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve warm or chilled.

Serves 5 or 6
